RaidenMAILD Server Relay Tutorial
- How to take advantages of Norton Anti-Virus for Gateways to scan all incoming mails.

 

 

在 1.5.0.5 之後的版本, MAILD 皆開始支援伺服器中繼功能, 伺服器中繼允許伺服器把原本要寄或存的信件
依設定轉寄到特定伺服器去, 讓下一個伺服器代做原本該寄信或存信的工作.

After RaidenMAILD version 1.5.0.5 or later, maild will provide "Server Relay" functionality.
Server relay allows server to relay mails to a specific mail server instead of saving or sending mails directly.

 

我將介紹兩種方式.

I will introduce two kind of server relay settings.

 

(1). 單一伺服器 - 需要一個MAILD.

(1). Single server only (no server relay, usual usage) - require 1 maild

以上面的圖片為例子. 這樣的設定是給平常單一伺服器使用的.
這個郵件伺服器負責 raidenmaild.adsldns.org 的郵件工作, 且寄到 raidenmaild.adsldns.org 的信都會在這裡被進行存信的動作.

Take above images as an example. This config is for single server only and it is also known as usual usage for a mail server.
The mail server is in charge of "raidenmaild.adsldns.org" domain name and It will save all mails which sent to xxxx@raidenmaild.adsldns.org.

 

(2) 多個郵件伺服器 ( 啟用伺服器中繼功能 ) - 需要兩個 MAILD 以上及一個 NAVGW.

(2) Multiple server (enable server relay) - require 2 mailds or more and 1 NAVGW

以上面的圖片為例子. 這個設定將所有寄到 raidenmaild.adsldns.org 的信轉寄到 192.168.0.2:27 這個郵件伺服器
(在這裡這個 192.168.0.2:27 是指 NAVGW), 咱們繼續往下看.

Take above images as an example. This config will relay all mails which sent to raidenmaild.adsldns.org to 192.168.0.2:27 (another mail server - NAVGW).
In this studying case, 192.168.0.2:27 is a Norton Anti-Virus for Gateways server. Let's see some screen shots below for its configuration.

NAVGW 使用埠號 27 來當做一個郵件伺服器, 接收所有進來的信並為它掃毒.

NAVGW binds port 27 to be a mail gateway to scan all mails which are sent to it.

當 NAVGW 掃完毒後, 它會繼續將信轉寄到 192.168.0.2:31 這台郵件伺服器(在這裡的 192.168.0.2:31 是第二台MAILD) (Pic.5)

After NAVGW finishing scanning mails, it will relay mails to 192.168.0.2:31 (another mail server - Server 2). (Pic. 5).

上面的圖片就是第二台MAILD 的設定. 它使用埠號 31 成為一個郵件伺服器, 接收從 192.168.0.2:27 (NAVGW)
來的信, 由於它的轉寄設定為寄到 raidenmaild.adsldns.org 的信要轉寄到 192.168.0.2:31 (它自己), 所以它就可以
進行存信或寄信.

This is the final destination mail server settings. It binds port 31 to receive all incomings mail which are already scanned.
Then it saves these mail to mailbox at 192.168.0.2:31(itself).

1. 如何正確伺服器中繼功能來讓 NAVGW 進行掃毒?

1. How exactly server relay works for NAVGW?

要使用 NAVGW 來當做MAILD 的郵件掃毒的閘門, 我們需要兩個以上的MAILD 跟一個 NAVGW 運作在同一台或不同台電腦上.

For taking advantages of NAVGW to be maild virus scanner, we needs to prepare at least 2 maild running + 1 NAVGW running on the same computer or different computers.

MAILD_A 安裝在 C:\RaidenMAILD_A 目錄下且使用埠號 25 來接收所有網際網路進來的信. 用它來當做我們郵件服務的對外窗口.

MAILD_A runs at "C:\RaidenMAILD_A" directory and binds port 25 on ALL IPs to receive all incoming SMTP Request with RaidenMAILD
SMTP policy checking. We can take this server as a SMTP service in front of NAVGW and it will relay all legal mails to NAVGW.

NAVGW 架在同台或不同台電腦上且使用別的埠號來接受 MAILD_A 轉寄來的信並進行掃毒, 而後再轉寄到 MAILD_B.

NAVGW runs on the same computer or different computer and binds port to receive mails from MAILD_A to do virus scanning, then relaies them
to MAILD_B.

MAILD_B 安裝在 C:\RaidenMAILD_B 目錄下且使用埠號31(或別的) 來接受NAVGW 掃毒完成的信, 並進行剩餘的工作.

MAILD_B runs at "C:\RaidenMAILD_B" directory and binds port 31(or else) on ALL IPs to receive all mails which are scanned by NAVGW.
